Hey there! We’re Andrea & Chris — a husband and wife wedding photography team based in Knoxville, Tennessee, who also love to travel wherever your love story takes you!
About us
If we had to give Gabrielle and Brad’s wedding day a theme, it would have to be the wedding of emotional first looks! From the moment Gabrielle saw Brad for their private vows to the moment she saw her grandpa in her wedding dress, there were plenty of happy tears to go around. Their April 17th wedding at The Kincaid House in Clinton, Tennessee, was filled with so many sweet, meaningful moments, and it was the kind of day that reminded us exactly why we love getting to photograph weddings.
One of our favorite parts of the day was Gabrielle and Brad’s private vows. Whenever Chris and I photograph private vows, we intentionally stay a good distance away from our couples and use our zoom lenses to capture those close-up moments without actually being in their space. If you hire us, your private vows can be exactly that, private, as much or as little as you want them to be! So while we were pretty far away from Gabrielle and Brad as they read their vows to one another, I didn’t need to hear a single word to know just how meaningful they were. By the end, tears were streaming down my face (typical), but even Chris got emotional, which is RARE, haha!
And then there was Gabrielle’s first look with her grandpa. These two share a very special relationship, so getting to witness his reaction to seeing her in her wedding dress was incredibly sweet. Gabrielle was adamant beforehand that he would not get emotional during their first look. Well… she was very quickly proven wrong. The second he saw her, the tears started flowing. Watching his face change as he took in the moment—and seeing Gabrielle’s reaction right back—was one of those little wedding-day moments that you know everyone will remember for years to come.
The Kincaid House made such a beautiful setting for all of these moments. From the anticipation and nerves of the morning to the happy tears, hugs, laughter, and celebration that followed, the entire day felt so personal to Gabrielle and Brad. And honestly, those are some of our favorite weddings to photograph—the ones where you can feel how much the people surrounding you mean to the couple. There was so much love packed into this day, and we loved being there to document it all.
Gabrielle and Brad, thank you for trusting us to be part of such an emotional, joy-filled day! From private vows that had both photographers reaching for tissues to a grandpa who absolutely did, in fact, cry during the first look, your wedding day was full of the sweetest memories. We hope these photos always bring you right back to how it felt to be surrounded by so much love on April 17th. And if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that your wedding day gave us a whole lot of reasons to cry happy tears!
